In October 2024, our community partnered with The Illinois Institute for Rural Affairs and Western Illinois University to launch a groundbreaking project aimed at boosting local pride and economic growth.  We called on all residents, stakeholders, and lovers of our town to participate in 6 mapping and planning workshops to help shape the future of our community. Together we identified issues, gathered resources, and outlined initial steps to revitalize our beloved home. The Brooklyn Revitalization Project was led by community volunteers!
